IWRBB
Does anyone have issues with the sunroof shade making noise over bumps? Our does it a lot. It sound like the fabric is smacking the center cross piece between the two pieces of glass. It's not very taut and being one long piece, it's plenty flappy enough to move up and down and hit the cross piece. Open it up and there is no noise. The shade on our 2010 was made of more substantial material and didn't move around at all. It was also split into two parts which totally prevented it from hitting the middle cross beam as well. It also blocked the heat better. Seems like the 2019 shade is vastly inferior to the 2010 IMO. It's neat in that it's all one piece as it rolls back, and there is no fat headliner material over the crossbar so it seems more open- but man, everything else about it seems so cheap and flimsy. omar302
Fix it under warranty. That is not normal, the shade on my 2016 is as sturdy as my older 2011. As far as I know, the 2019 has the same shade as 2015+ models.
pmbb68
Our 2019 sunshade does not make any noises no matter how bad the road dips or holes.
Gadgetjq
A warranty fix for sure. My '16 makes no noise at all (except the pleasant whrrrrr as it opens/closes). Suggestion, go to your Ford dealer and sit in another late model Edge. Try pushing up on the sun shade and compare it to yours. If there's a difference it will be something you can point out to the service writer.

MENINBLK
The shade on my 2019 rattles something fierce. I am going to inquire about it at my next service visit.
IWRBB
We haven't taken it in yet as we'll need to strip everything out of it first, but let me know if you find anything on yours.
Tom H
I have a 2019 Ford Edge SEL. Bought it in Sep 2019 new. The sunroof makes a noise when going through dips and bumps. Took it to the dealer twice now and am told it is normal noise. This is the 3rd Ford Edge I have had with the Panoramic sun roof and there was no noise in the other 2. The dealer won't even look at it. We go for a drive and they hear it then send me on my way stating it is normal noise.

Cleaning the seal & glass surface where they meet. Some light grease also helps. 2 is from the rubber surround under the glass, this rubber doesn't seem to have a function as it doesn't seal anything, probably for sound purposes. This rattles a bit.
