bill48nj1
Hi I just got a 2011 Edge SEL 3.5L FWD. I have a 2GB USB flash drive with only mp3s on it. It's recognized when plugged in and works fine. My question is if I leave this music USB plugged in with ignition off and key out, is there any draw on the battery? Searching the web shows both yes and no for battery drainage. Thanks for your help. Bill NJ

Hi Bill, You're safe leaving your USB drive plugged in. Some Edge models have a power port delay that can be adjusted by the user so, depending on your model and settings (a previous owner 'could' have set the power ports to be on at all times but not likely) the device might stay on for a short time but the current draw is minuscule. To prove this, plug anything with a power indicator light into the port. Turn the Edge off and watch the light. It'll either turn off immediately or soon after shutdown. Cheers!
