mvan231
I have heard of others having antenna leaks, but not sure how they found it. The sunroof/moonroof control area is a different location though. Is the sunroof/moonroof itself the part that is leaking?
Happyidiot
It doesn't appear to be from the sun/moon roof but unsure. It seems further up from where seems are for sun/moon roof.
mvan231
hopefully you find the leak path. Maybe there is a spot to seal it off. Those controls shouldnt touch the outside though. Maybe there is somewhere else it is leaking into the roof then it's coming through there to get into the passenger compartment?
Edgieguy
report leaks ASAP to your dealer. We purchased our 2011 Edge and a 2011 NEW Explorer and the Explorer wound up being lemon lawed. They could not fix or stop the leak and we lost out on the "fair mileage" because we had not reported it right away (appeared around 10k miles and we first reported at 19K. If you wind up in a lemon law situation they will charge you for every mile of usage up until they were notified and input the mileage at the first report of that problem (in our case 19k instead of 10K?. Yukon_Michael
We have a 2010 Edge and when raining hard, we get water dripping from the right side console lights, checked the sunroof, does not seem to have water inside so not sure where to check or what to do to resolve this issue? WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Windshield seal strip or antenna base seal are likely culprits. If you have access to a water tap/hose, you can test this yourself.
enigma-2
Probably the antenna leaking. Easy enough to check. Start by removing the overhead console. Using your fingers, pry the front (side facing the cabin interior) down. This will release the console and it will pop out. Disconnect the harness and set aside. The base of the antenna is now exposed. Have someone spray water on the antenna and watch from inside the vehicle. If its leaking, try tightening the mounting screws from inside. Done.
