Tom Galloway
My black Edge is covered in water spots and I have tried getting them out with wax and other products but with no success. Ive almost come to terms with the fact that I may always be stuck with them. Does anyone have any easy ideas to get them off the entire car? onyxbfly
I've owned more than a few black cars in my lifetime. If i had a nickel for every time I have heard a variation of "you know a black car is only clean for a few minutes after you wash it" Seriously though there are a few professional detailers and a few hobbyist detailers on this forum. Hopefully some of them may see your post and offer suggestions. Are you getting water spots when drying your car? Or is your issue water spots when it rains etc? One thing that will be helpful is to describe your wash/ dry procedure. If the water spots are after washing our car then perhaps you are not drying fast enough or not using a quick detail spray to assist in wiping/ drying. Or if you are concerned with water spots after it rains it may be indicative of what type of care you are putting into your wax and sealant. Just tossing some ideas out there that may help you pinpoint where the issue may be. Edited July 22, 2019 by onyxbfly
IWRBB
Depends on what caused them (ie what was in the water). I've seen spots that will never come out without resorting to wetsanding the clearcoat.
