flymore
Just changed the oil in my 2018 Edge AWD. The manual says to rotate the tires when the oil is changed, will this mess up the TPMS? Is there a procedure to reset TPMS after I do the rotation? Thanks
1004ron
Yes, if you want to ensure that the dash accurately displays the correct wheel, then each tire rotation needs a re-learn procedure. You can do the re-learn using a device, or by partially deflating each wheel. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PNP9SVB/?coliid=I33UYEY6ZPLL0X&colid=7FQZRUTL8DOG&psc=1&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it EDIT: Learnt from @omar302 that no tool or procedure needed - all automatic. omar302
On my 2016 Edge I found out that it will relearn the positions of the tire automatically after a tire rotation.

Agree, the same on my 2016 Sport. The TPMS know where they are located and nothing needs to be done, even when replacing all the tires with new ones. It's completely automatic and that video is not for your car. Edited July 17, 2019 by Xtra

If that syncs with your oil changes then great! Some people go longer with the oil change (highway driving, synthetic oil). If you're one of them then you should plan on rotating tires more frequently than you change oil. Cheers!
