cv27
2019 Titanium 2.0 AWD - When opening the driver's door (maybe others ?), I consistently hear a 1 second sound apparently from underneath like a wire rubbing against metal. Anybody else? Explanation?
omar302
Is it only when first opening the door to go in the car while it is off? And it does NOT come if the engine is already running? Is so then it is probably the fuel pump priming to build up pressure getting ready so when you start the engine it starts easier.
cv27
Sounds logical. I'll do a few tests (car on/off).

It's hard to hear it when you have the engine running, but I believe the noise you're describing is what omar302 was mentioning.
lildisco
On my 2016 2.0, i only hear the fuel pump prime when my foot is on the brake before i hit the push button start. Don't hear it any other time, unless they changed something on the 2019's
Nolan
Have a 2019. I think it is the fuel pump. Owned a Harley-Davidson that when I turned the key on, it made that same noise. Had to wait until a light on the dash shut off before starting it.
mvan231
I hear it sometimes on my 2016 in the same scenario, but it doesn't happen all the time
