Jaak in TO
Folks ... noticed a few 2007 MKX's with a nice woodgrain "Panels/Trim" in the interior and would like to get the same colour/grain as the factory version. My Edge is the Creme Brule with the tan interior, 2008 Limited AWD & BAMER. What was used in the MKZ with the same colour's? In particular the 2007 models which I had seen on the dealers lots here in Canada. I want to get the basic kit from a site posted in an earlier thread; it's around the $200 mark. Thanks in advance, Jaak

Thanks in advance, Jaak Hi JAAK. :D The wood in the MKX with the Light Camel (tan) interior is called "Figured Maple". In the Charcoal Black or Medium Light Stone interiors, it is Ebony. Also, just as an FYI: In all three it is real wood, not "woodgrain". Of course, I am referring to the wood trim that comes standard from the factory. Not sure if what you saw was some sort of aftermarket package or not. Hope this information helps. Good luck. :beerchug: Edited July 9, 2008 by bbf2530

IIRC this place does have "real wood" as well. Link is on my home PC. Thanks again .... I did like the colour combo when I saw it. You are looking for a color similar to the MKX's "Figured Maple" in a kit that will fit the Edge. I was a little confused and forgot you have an Edge. For some reason I was thinking you had an MKX, maybe with some sort of "Brushed Nickel Trim" hiding the wood, and you wanted to replace it with real wood. I understand now. Anyway, the "Figured Maple" color description is correct. Direct from the Lincoln website. Good luck. :beerchug: Edited July 9, 2008 by bbf2530
