watut
Hey guys and gals, new member here. Have recently acquired an 08 Edge Limited AWD. I love the vehicle so far. I seem to have an issue with the stability control and was hoping someone can point me in the right direction here. - When taking a right curved on ramp (wet or dry), my ABS will kick in and my stability control light will flash momentarily. - Randomly my stability control will come on solid and can't be turned off by pressing the button on the dashboard. It usually comes on after reversing. Edited April 17, 2019 by watut
IWRBB
Are your tires all the same size / tread depth?

It looks like the previous owner had 3 kumhos and 1 Michelin tire on it. Same size but the tread depth is different, not by much. Would this cause the stability control to go off like that? Waldo
Certainly could. Just because they have the same size printed on the side doesn't mean they are actually the same size. Plus the tire properties can be different enough to trick the system. One easy check would be to swap the Michelin onto the other side of the car and see if your problem becomes a left turn problem. watut
I switched the tires, same issue (mismatched are on the back). If you are parked and turn the steering wheel, the light will illuminate sometimes. possible slip ring problem?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Could be a steering angle sensor, resides behind the airbag in the steering wheel.
PaulSchott
Check the tone rings on the axles and the abs sensors. Bad wire/sensor or cracked tone ring can cause multiple abs and traction problems.
