Jbob0124
Hello all, I've been looking into trying a few upgrades for my 2018 Edge 2.0L, but can't seem to find much around for it. I was thinking of modifying the air intake box and replacing it with a large cone filter, but from what I've read, the stock intake is actually pretty good. I've already replaced the stock air filter with a better filter. It looks like Magnaflow has a performance exhaust kit, but not sure if the price is worth it or not. Can't seem to find a "plug n play" type tune for it. Has anyone made any changes worth doing?
lildisco
I think AFE makes a dry flo drop in air filter that's pretty good. Having a cone style filter under the hood with out some sort of heat shield around it isn't going to help much. These things are hot under the hood & you'd suffer from heat soak in the summer months. An oil catch can is also a good thing to have, if your 2.0 Ecoboost doesn't have port injection witch cleans the intake valves. Coking will eventually cause you problems if you don't also have port injection, such as rough idling, bogging off take off & below average fuel economy. Livernois Motorsports is about your only tuning option available. Rumor has it that you don't notice much of an improvement if you dont run 91+ Octane. Shifting is definitely improved as well as throttle response. https://www.livernoismotorsports.com/product/LPP631154 Exhausts are kinda a custom job as there really isn't much of a market for the 2.0 Edge. Probably better off to visit a muffler shop & get a custom cat back with whatever muffler(s) you want.
Turbo tech rob
If you have any questions I have the fastest ford edge in the world . Running on a 94 octane tune . With race gas making about 520 hp all wheel . Ask me anything part wise . They are hard to find especially with the titanium. 1
Turbo tech rob
Tune wise if you go to a tuner the ford st 2.0l has the same engine different drive train and the tune works good on the ford edge . And the ford edge 2.0l software takes the tune .

I love the audaciousness of it! What makes you say you have the fastest edge in the world? What proof do you have to quantify that statement! There are quite a few members who would love to see proof of that......

I have my doubts without proof and list of mods.

He got some very big shoes to fill!

The 2013-2018 Focus ST has the same 2.0l but different turbo (single scroll) Maybe this is what is being referred to and has a lot of aftermarket support. That is possible but considering the OP makes bold claims, more than 500 all wheel hp in a 2.0l edge, with no reply about mods, yet has been back on the forum since the replies we may never know

There are quite a few members who would love to see proof of that...... Could be possible out of a 2.0..no way bolt on parts...custom built turbo..rods..pistons..it would have to be a gen2 just to handle the fuel needs with 8 injectors total...i have a friend that bought from the dealership a turbo upgraded 2.3 ecoboost mustang 520hp turbo and tuning upgrade if u search Google...some deakera will install it. Now if he is talking the 2.7l. Motor..no problem. Bit he is getting at least and extra 50hp from that painted engine cover!! Ive got a 98svt cobra with a single turbo..dyno tuning at my tuner after install I'm getting 492hp rear wheel out of a 4.6 and 9lbs of boost. Need better gas for more. Anyway I'm checking this forum out for 2.0 mods..mine is a 2020 edge titanium 2.0. $44k new. I have 5200miles on it in a little over 2 years .my work is 2 miles from my house..i drive my cobra more than edge. There is nothing really as far as bolt ons with it for the 2.0...they really shoulda put the 2.3 in the edge. Or IL really shoulda got the 2.7. Question.. I never hit the highway..and even driving like a grandma..i only get 17mpg anyone else's mpg really suck
