ONEDGE16
What is your impression so far of the fit and finish quality of your ST. I'm quite happy with mine overall. A couple of paint defects that dealership and Ford is addressing. A few things I would have liked to see: - LED lights for license plate (they are the only non LED lights on the exterior). - For those of us that have the Vista roof, a black shark fin to blend in with the roof. - performance brake package for canadian market (not available currently). - Integrated dashcam (At least as an option if not standard). - the left small storage compartment/drawer (was removed in 2019). - the hook for the cargo area floor panel . It was very handy when trying to get to the storage compartments and spare tire. Also removed on the 2019 Edited February 11, 2019 by ONEDGE16
jamie1073
Mine is great so far but I have only had it a little over a month. I agree with the license plate lights, I changed mine out last weekend. Funny my Focus ST had LED license plate lights and no other ones on the outside, but this has every light outside LED except them.
vmaxbaby
What do you have to do to change to LED ?
Nick Halstead
well these are from my 2015 back in the day. Dealer said they couldn't fix any of them cause as they walked around the lot, all the Edges had the same issue so it was deemed "Normal" I also have 4 places with runs in the paint. That I chose to not have Ford fix because the average person wont see them unless I point them out and Ford will never be able to match the factory tuxedo black. Fingernip
I love my ST. The few gripes so far are 1: cargo net is stupidly small. My dog ate the one from my 2011 but it was twice as big. 2: sync3 is missing some basic features (possibly iPhone faults) reluctantly moved to iOS from BB10 and now voice text is gone. Also no option for shuffle all. Just have to reselect source as iPhone each time. Also can’t use voice commands without carplay to find music on my phone. Biggest is non CarPlay wireless yet. 3: no LED map lights 4: 115/120v but no USB in the rear. (Unless I just haven’t found it)
ONEDGE16
My 2016 SEL had a long list of fit and finish issues. The ST is cleaner and has a better finish; however the paint defects I have are not paint runs unfortunately one defect is on the hood lip. ONEDGE16
the second one is a paint chip on the rear passenger door (most probably happened at the dealership after delivery)
ONEDGE16
and the third one is in the rear driver fender/wheel well

That definitely needs to be delt with. The fact that so much has lifted would have me suspecting an issue with the entire coating on that surface. I just ordered a set from hid kitpros and then installed them. Using a small flat head screw driver you can slide it up in the right hand side of each lamp housing and push the clip in and they pop right out. Took about 10 minutes. Just pop out old bulb and pop in the new one.
Rimcrim
Pretty happy with mine, the only real thing that I've noticed is the glove box does not open smoothly, seems like it gets caught on something halfway down but it does open and close so not a huge concern right now. I'll get the dealer to fix it next time I go in. Haven't noticed any paint issues but I haven't examined it too closely yet. Once I wash it I'll take a closer look at panel gaps and see if there are any other issues.
