Grey
From the dealer warranty manual: "Occasionally new vehicles (usually trucks) are driven from assembly plants to dealers or to body companies and then to dealers or other locations. Whoever delivers the vehicle should complete Form FCS-900 to extend the mileage warranty. The extension is equal to the actual number of miles accumulated before delivery up to a maximum of 4,000 miles." The revised warranty start mileage will be recorded and can be seen in OASIS (the service department info sheet on each vehicle). So, folks, there is a procedure - however, it is rarely done. So, hang on to the sales documents that show the mileage at delivery, in the very rare instance that you should have an issue that occurs post stated warranty coverage, but within the miles you have had the vehicle. Any field manager would likely approve the repair regardless, if you are that close to the warranty cut off (unless the dealership says they don't want to extend consideration to you based on their prior experience with you or the vehicle). :shades:
