Radio station

Hello dears,

 

I own a 2011 Ford Edge Limited and there are some radio station I cannot listen. I cannot set radio with pair frequency. For example 94.0; 104.4 and so on.

I heard that this can be changed with Firscan tool. Anyone ever did it?

Yes, you can change it using ForScan, this is what you will need to change:

727-04-01    x*xx    xxxx    xxxx

Tuner Region, Set the "*" to the following:

0=NA (North America),

1=GCC,

2=Japan,

3=Europe,

4=Asia Pacific

I found the path. Now the issue is that I have been asked to confirm my Sync version, which I currently don't know. I googled it but can't find. Do you have an idea of how to check it? 

Note that I am outside US. Am in West Africa.

Also the group of number is 3 in my interface instead of 4 from yours. Is the right parameter in my side?

You have Sync 2.

For 727-04-01, you will need to change the "0001" to "0101".

Ok, thanks. But how do you know that I have Sync 2?

Sync 1 is the basic model with the small screen. 

Sync 2 is MyFord Touch with the 8" screen. 

Sync 3 is the new version that only came on 2016+ Edge in the US.

 

So since you have a 2011 Limited then it has MyFord Touch which is Sync 2.

Hi,

I have changed to "0101. By scan I can get the pair number frequency but I cannot direct tune to them. For example to 94.4

OK, today I found out how to solve it, you have to change the country for the APIM. With US you cannot manually put odd frequency like in your screenshot. With Qatar country code (mine) it works for all frequencies. 

ForScan has a setting directly for country code. Or you can change the code like this:

7D0-02-01    ****    xxxx    xxxx

****: 5553=U.S

****: 5141=Qatar

Another thing, do you have all the possible codes of Forscan for 2011 Ford Edge Limited?

For 2011-2014 Edge, you can check this thread here (also has for 2015+ Edge), or check the lists for 2011-2015 Explorers as they are very close to 2011-2014 Edge.
