rjquillen
Sorry if this is in the wrong place. Wasn't sure where to put it. I need some help, and was hoping the folks here could provide it. I hit a car with my door, spoke to the couple, and they want to just let it go. However, I feel I should get them some color matched touch-up paint. The hit is on the side, but here's the back. Can't turn off underline. Anyway, basically, I know the paint color (metallic black), and everything else I need to know to color match it except the year. If nobody feels comfortable enough to tell me the year span it would be in based on this picture, I can drive to their house and ask - I would just rather not disturb them if I can get it here. TL;DR - What year span is this car?

rjquillen
The car looked pretty new, so I bet that's right. Though I think they told me the wrong color (metallic black). The closest thing I can find in that year span is Shadow Black, and Tuxedo Black, and that car looks like Shadow Black. Any thoughts there? Nick Halstead
though, 15-18 has more than one black paint option
lildisco
Your paint code should be on the sticker on the drivers side door

If you want to bother them less, buy touch up paint for both colors & then ask them which is theirs, give it to them & return the 2nd.
rjquillen
The car isn't mine - I thought that was clear. 3 hours ago, lildisco said: Your paint code should be on the sticker on the drivers side door
Amerikaner83
That looks like TUXEDO Black to me, 2015. It is not as deep a black, looks a bit more like "super dark gray". It's officially called "tuxedo black metallic", which could easily be confused for "metallic black".
