My 2010 Edge SEL  I just bought,  didn't have SYNC installed.

I want to be able to connect my phones to the vehicle when driving.

I've been told SYNC would do that.   I want to add SYNC to my unit.

I bought a module from a junkyard in Texas off of eBay to begin the process.

What other cables, jumpers etc... will I need to complete the install.

OH and the "ask an Expert" link is a sham.  I posed this question to them

several days ago, paid my 5 bucks for the trial, and 3 days later I get an

"I'm sorry they haven't reached out to you, do you still need help"  reply

from someone, Lindie-Moderator.

I'm thinking....lets see, I paid you to answer a question, I ask the question,

you've NOT answered it...….let me see....do I still need help with my question......

hmmmmm    IDIOTS!

Well considering adding OEM sync is anything but plug and play, it isn't surprising you didn't get an answer.  Its not even supported by Ford.

The dash/audio harnesses would be completely different and that's just the beginning.

It would be much easier to install a Rostra kit which would be mainly plug and play by the looks of it.  Google Rostra BT kit.

This thing comes as a kit.   It says there is wiring & instructions.

Surely these items could be gotten & or copied.

Without paying over SIX HUNDRED dollars!

So, I have the SYNC module.

Looks like I need a jumper wire, a USB wire & some instructions.

Does the SYNC module attach to the aback of the radio or does it go down inside the center console??

Can anyone find me the part number for the wiring harness?  I've seen the USB wire listed on eBay.

All I see is the C-Max, Crown Victoria, Focus, Fusion, Mustang & Taurus under Ford, 2010.

Perhaps you could post a webpage where the OP can click and be directed to.

They consider it a truck.  Copying their link doesn't work as its just the basic search link even with the results.

Doesn't fit your car. Only fits a 2009. Sync changed in 2010.

Why don't you just get an aftermarket head unit? The 2010 & previous models can easily be replaced (Double DIN I think) and you get the bennefit of getting Android Auto & Car Play if required.

Is this something I don’t need since I have a 2016 Edge sport? Mine comes with Sync built into it, correct?

Your 2016 Sport already has the 3rd Generation of Sync.
