vega
I installed a keypad on my 2012 Focus years ago. Is there an after market keypad for an Edge 2015 SE??? I've been looking everywhere. Also, a spare keypad for the Focus will not program. Perhaps the frequency is different on the Edge. Has anyone tried this??? omar302
As per Ford's Accessories website this should work. But take care of the notes written in case they are applicable.

jmr061
The easiest option is the add the wireless keypad however it will need to be programmed by a dealer or someone with dealer software. It may be possible to add the hardwired OEM keypad however the wireless one would be the simpler of the two.

I thought the wireless keypad was programmed just like another fob and you could do to yourself as long as you have two working keys. jmr061
The end user can program the 11-14s via the key on/off method however 15+ changed and IDS is required. To clarify, this pertains the wireless keypad: https://accessories.ford.com/electronics/keyless-entry/actuator-asy.html Edited November 26, 2018 by jmr061
vega
Yes, it's programmed like an extra key fob but I have an intelligent access push to start with a remote start on the vehicle. I have 4 admin keys ( the remote takes up one of them) I only wanted the keypad it if I lose my key. Going to just hide a key somewhere outside with the fob part hidden inside the vehicle wrapped with aluminum. Sometimes you just have to bite the bullet.
akirby
It's ridiculous they don't make that standard across the board.

akirby
Yes but even the SE comes with push button start. I don’t think they need super stripped down fleet special models any more. Just make a few things standard across the board and raise the price a few hundred.
