LDRONNOW
Just traded in my Merc mountaineer for a used 2017 edge. I am very happy with the vehicle however just curious if any one has had a windshield replace and now have a loud wind noise at 70 mph. I am guessing that this is what has happen but wanted to check first to see if anyone else has experience wind noises from the front dash area. omar302
I don't recall reading a similar issue. Was the replacement windshield OEM? If not maybe it doesn't have the noise isolation layer.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Not sure if the gen 2 glass has a Carlite or Soundscreen symbol stamped on it. Will be at one of the corners, worth checking. Edited November 8, 2018 by WWWPerfA_ZN0W
onyxbfly
The carlite/ soundscreen symbol is not as obvious as it is on the gen1.5, but it is on the gen 2.

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Doesn't match up to any known manufacturer by DOT code. This is what I am referencing, may be a better reference out there: http://www.carwindshields.info/dot_db I did find the glass by P/N DW02194, still no go on mfr https://jmcautoglass.com/replacements/ford/edg/ws-edg/15-16-ws-edg/2015-2016-ford-edge-windshield-replacement-pricing-aci/
omar302
Seems it's either a bad install or lesser quality replacement. This is the logo on my 2016 Edge. Edited November 10, 2018 by omar302
