briand
Has anyone removed their door panels yet? Our 2007 Edge received hail damage and i need to replace the black receiver strip where the window goes in the door, due to it getting dented up. Please respond if you know how bad of a job this is. Thanks. Brian
jeffreybehr
Search for posts of mine about replacing the front-door speakers. I believe I detailed what was necessary.
Lex Talionis
yeah.. if you want to remove inner door panels it is a piece of cake. as easy as they come. IIRC like 6 philips screws around perimeter, 1 bolt (in door handle under rubber cover), 1 star nut (under little plastic circle flap behind inner door handle). pull out at bottom, up (since a lip at top near window and need to get panel over the door lock), unhook 1-2 quick release wire harness plugs, and then away. Thanks. Brian Hi, I may be a little late with this reply but I'l give it a try. It sounds like you are talking about the belt molding. If so, you don't need to remove the door panel to replace the belt molding, just remove the screws on the ends and pull it off.
