LorrieS
2011 Edge SEL. Brake pedal has gone to the floor a few times but after sitting, it always returns to normal. This time they didn't recover. Ford replaced the brake booster per 13NO2 but said "that wasn't the problem, you need a master cylinder and rear brake pads." We took it home and replaced the master cylinder and rear brake pads. We were able to bleed all but the driver rear wheel. Very little fluid trickled out. We checked for leaks and nothing. Brakes still go to the floor. Does anyone have a suggestion?
IWRBB
Did you bench bleed the master cylinder? You have to get all the air out of the MC, then work on the lines. If so, then you either have a kinked metal line, a bad rubber hose, or a caliper that is somehow blocked internally (I doubt that).
