AKBrian
Hello everyone, I just picked up a 2013 Edge Sport to be the new family hauler. Turns out rear-facing car seats and the S4 don't go together Still it's a pretty fun package all told, and I'm impressed with the tech. The only major niggle I have is that the automatic rain sensing wipers seem to be really ineffective? I had them on the S4 and they worked a treat, any adjustment in sensitivity made a noticeable change. On the Edge they barely seem to register the rain. We've had a couple days of relatively heavy rain here, and yesterday driving around the wiper wouldn't activate until it was well past the point the windshield was obscured. I had the sensitivity setting turned up to the point where the next-notch just turned the wipers on fast-permanent, it felt like the previous settings did nothing at all, and that third-to-last setting barely worked. Is this normal to anyone else's experience? Should I be taking it to the dealer to look at? Thanks for the help

AKBrian
was the windshield ever replaced? is the battery original to the vehicle? Congrats on the new ride btw and welcome to the family! Original windshield and battery as far as I can tell, but I'll triple check tonight on the battery. Do you happen to know where the sensors are for it? Maybe they just need a quick clean.
omar302
The rain sensor is on the windshield behind the rear view mirror, near the center but to the passenger side. It is under a black plastic cover. As far as I know, if the sensor is removed from the windshield it will require a new clear silicone adhesive when re-installing it.
