edsasdelli
I have a stock 2015 Edge Sport AWD. The right rear blinker is not working and the blinker indicator on the dash blinks very rapidly (much faster than other blinker). Is it as simple as replacing bulbs in rear hatch light or is it something more serious? Also, anybody have a link to changing the rear blinkers on a 2015+ Edge? chefduane
Sounds like a bulb or a flasher relay (assuming cars still have flasher relays.) Do a uToob search for changing bulbs. They're all over.
ben senise
the "rear direction indicator," as ford calls it, is LED at the rear on 2015+ and is not user serviceable. Check your owner's manual under "maintenance." the front is a bulb. Is your front bulb working? normally the instrument cluster indicator flashes quickly when a bulb has failed but the LEDs shouldn't fail. this soon. i'm wondering if the front bulb failed and it's causing the back lights to not work? interesting problem. akirby
Having the same problem on our 2016 MKX left rear. Front works fine. LEDs don’t usually fail but controllers do. Or SJBs.
edsasdelli
I removed the right rear light assembly and it is certainly not "user serviceable" and Ben Senise (above) was correct the owners manual does say it's not user serviceable. So I put it all back together to take it to the dealer and now its working?? The only other variable is we had a hell of a T-Storm yesterday and it monsoon rained. Perhaps water got in there? keep you posted.
evh
Or you have a loose wire/connection and taking it apart moved the connection and now it works. I say leave it alone.
akirby
Mine seems to be intermittent as well. I'm going to try disconnecting the battery.
