blockisle9
Any ideas of what I can tap into for power in the rear of a (2015-2018)? Switched or timed. I want to install a rear facing dash cam with out having to run a wire to the front. Thanks
lildisco
Do you not have a rear power point between the front seats
blockisle9
I do, but I think it’s 110 volt. Also I’m looking for something closer to the tailgate.
THE_BOLT
Do you have the vista roof? If so the inner part of the headliner closest to the glass is held up by magnets and can be pulled down far enough to run a wire from front to back without an issue. I would find a way to secure the wire to the bottom of the vista roof frame so it wouldn't move around much
TheWizard
There should be a 12V power point in the cargo area.
blockisle9
I found it, it stays on for a couple hrs after the ignition is switched off. I was hoping to find something that went off as soon as the ignition is turned off. That’s okay, I’ll use it anyway for now
lildisco
That can be reprogrammed with FORScan if you want
blockisle9
That can be reprogrammed with FORScan if you want Can the dealer reprogram it? For a price, I’m sure
lildisco
Possibly, but would be cheaper with FORScan. Just need a laptop & OBD2 adapter & download Forscan which is free.
