dacford
Supposedly Ford says all parts for 2019 Edge assembly are ready and waiting for Sept. 4th start. I ordered my 400A June 14 and have an order number but no scheduling number yet.....dac
Rimcrim
Ordered my 401A ST on July 10th, and a couple days ago my dealer said that production has not yet started, and no VIN # or anything to provide yet.
Howievm3
When should we see reviews from the Car Magazines?
akirby
When should we see reviews from the Car Magazines? Probably when they start shipping to dealers. They don’t want people reading reviews and getting excited and then not be able to go see or drive one for several months.
Howievm3
Let's hope it's soon. I believe the Edge ST's are assembled in Canada? Concerned, they will be hit with an import tariff if the US and Canada can't reach a deal!'
akirby
All Edges and MKX are made in Oakville Canada.
Old Ray
Concerned, they will be hit with an import tariff if the US and Canada can't reach a deal!' As I understand the preliminary reporting on the skimpy details of the USA / Mexico trade agreement, and if the negotiated terms become the same with Canada, there will little to no difference as it was under NAFTA. Howievm3
Ok, thanks! Hopefully everything will be resolved by then?
alblundo
I posted a picture of the 2019 Edge ST standard 20 inch wheels in the image gallery. Tried to paste it here but couldn't figure out how. If you go to the image gallery look in the recent pictures category. Anyway they look a lot better than I first thought. A nice compromise between the all black high gloss wheels and completely bright machined wheels. There are actually on an Ford "Endura" which is the same as the Edge in Australia. MrHappy
Thanks for the pics and video. I don't hate them but they look like Kia wheels to me for some reason. Any update on start build dates?
Howievm3
Thanks for the post, great determination on your part!! I'm still not sure that I like the wheels compared to the 21"? I guess like we stated before we'll just have to wait till they arrive at the dealers. Me personally, I don't like the twisted off centre look of them. Would prefer an evenly balanced look. They're the standard wheels for the ST at no cost. The standard wheels rarely look better than the premium wheels. The gloss black 21s will probably be a $995 option, and that is a reasonable price to pay for them.
omar302
The 2019 Titanium's optional 20" wheels in my opinion look better.
MrHappy
Agree with the above. They look like a smaller variant of my wife's 22"s on her Sport now.
Howievm3
Much better look to the 20" Titanium wheels. Question, will you be able to switch to them and forgo the 20" on the ST? Also, at what cost?
blitz118
A dealer in NY has one arriving at the end of the month. It hasn't even been built yet. In fact when I checked the other day nothing above vin 350 or so had been done. Rimcrim
So Production has started on some of the STs? Do you think Canadian dealers will get them any sooner since they are built in Canada?
dolsen
If the VINs are not above 350 yet, theyre still likely in proveout phases and none have been made for the masses yet. Being closest to the assembly plant does not give Canada priority. What usually dictates priority is dealer volume and customer demand.
