b edge Posted July 1, 2008 Report Share Posted July 1, 2008 i didnt notice it in mine until i turned the radio off. the ford dealership said the sound comes from the AWD drive train (PCU????).....and that it is "normal" for the edge no PTU i believe is the term your looking for. i just bought mine noticed a small leak from the ptu area, i need to double check location of this leak, though i fear the worst already. 07 sel awd. 15k. and i think this slight whining noise at constant hwy like speed is from the drivetrain somewhere. im sending my into the delearship to get checked under warranty.
