khayman5
Is there any discernible difference between an 18 and 17? A dealer near me has a new 2017 that I'm sure has had a lot of test drives but I could probably get them to come down a fair amount on the price. Thanks for any info. Andy What I've noticed at the dealership where I bought my 2017, is that they're selling quick enough for them not to consider significant discounts. Interesting, the dealer with the 2017 has it listed for $41,589, but I have seen 2018's for about the same price, one even cheaper.

Thanks, I didn't think there were any serious differences but wanted to double check.

tacbear
The biggest reason for me buying a 2018 is the fact that Ford added port fuel injectors along with the Direct Injectors. I think you will see a lot of OEM's do this because of the huge problem with CARBON Buildup on cars of all makes with Direct Injection only!!

The 2018 Edge Sport has the same engine as the 2015. The change you're referring to is in the F150 & Mustang.

I'd guess it's cost & marketing. The F150's engine is mounted different, so it will require additional engineering to adapt the new technology to FWD mounted engines. I was led to believe this is one of the main reasons 2.7 edge's gain so much more power with a tune than the 2.7 fusion. Guess I got tricked on that one
