Fastfwd75
I have a 2016 MKX if that makes any difference vs edge. Stock towing package but don't have the ball and mount yet. I will just be renting trailers 2-3 times per year.
enigma-2
The U-Haul site has instructions (and a good video) on how to determine the correct height. Normal height is 17" from the ground to the bottom of the coupler. U-Haul recommends 18". https://www.uhaul.com/Articles/Tips/5227/How-To-Select-The-Correct-Ball-Mount-For-Your-Hitch/
Fastfwd75
Thanks my receiver top is at 16" so I guess I need to find a 2" drop that is reversible.
enigma-2
I'd call the local rental company and get their opinion. They deal with this everyday.
IWRBB
I always set mine up at 18" to the top of the ball.
