aggie8387
I have a 2012 Ford Edge Limited. Still had the old A4 nav card in it, and just bought an A8. I swapped them out, but the system doesn't recognize it. I just get a message saying to insert the SD card. Has anyone had this problem upgrading? What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help. Waldo
Did you get the A8 card from Ford or ebay?
Xtxman
I got an A8 from ebay for my 2015 Edge Sport and its works just fine. The only problem is that the data is at least 1.5 years old! A major new bridge opened in my area in December 2016 and its not on the A8 update!

aggie8387
Did you get the A8 card from Ford or ebay? Purchased from Northern Lights Auto Supply thru Amazon.

aggie8387
You are running version 3.6.2 That should work fine with that card...its probably a bad clone card. I'm returning the card to Amazon, with an appropriate 1-star review so others can be warned. Does anyone know where I can buy a reliable A8 card without paying Ford's high price? jmr061
I am just curious...did it come in OEM packing. If not you can test to see if its a clone...make sure the write tab(switch) is in the write position (up). Then simply open a notepad file and type something and save it to the card or take some other small file and try to save it to the card. If it saves, its a clone. Just delete it before sending it back.
aggie8387
NOT OEM packaging as was shown on the Amazon sale page. It was in a plastic molded box inside a small ziploc bag. No OEM packaging or instructions, so very likely a copy. Seller reported to Amazon. Thanks for your help everyone. OEM ordered from Ford. Lesson learned.
