Inno
Have anyone ever replaced his evaporator? Does anyone have evaporator replacement video? I googled but cannot find. Someone can confirm if the evaporator temperature sensor is integrated to the evaporator and cannot be replaced alone? That if the evaporator temperature sensor is faulty, the whole evaporator must be replaced? It's a 2011 Ford Edge. Thanks in advance. macbwt
It is in the dash thus why no video. Not one wants to remove the dash to make the video and most pay the garage to do this job as it is very time consuming and if not done correctly it results in a ton of extra work.
enigma-2
Here's a Youtube video on how to replace the sensor in a Lincoln Zephyr (simular aren't they??) Anyway, as Mac stated, you have to pull the instrument cluster to get to it.
Inno
Thanks to all. In fact I need the video to help the garage as we don't have a qualified one here. I have already ordered the evaporator front US and am checking out how to replace it because I will be watching how the garage will operate. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Didn't know we had an evap temp sensor in the Edge/MKX. Fusion, yes ... But they also do not have the evap drain line.

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
no evap drain line on the fusion. at least for 2010-12 MYs. IDK if they started putting one in later on.

WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Not sure, I will have to look at the manual for details but the idea is to shut off the system before condensation becomes an issue IIRC. Take a break periodically if you will.
akirby
I don’t see how that’s possible. Must be some other design.

Inno
I have been said to change the whole system as the sensor is not sold separately. Here is the part number CT4Z-19B555-K from Ford representative but actually it is a kit. Very hard to find.
IWRBB
2010-2012 Fusions have A/C condensate drains. They are on the firewall. There's no way a car could have a functioning A/C system without one.
Inno
Does anyone knows about the evaporator temperature sensor fault on 2011 Ford Edge Limited? How can I correct this faulty error code?
