no chrome runs along headlights on a gen 2. on the 1.5 gen they do. you best and easiest option is vinyl. spend the $30ish bucks and wrap it yourself

The chrome strip that runs across the front of the hood and above the headlights on G2. I feel like a body shop will tax the hell out of me to paint it. Is there a different to black it out?

Metro restyling has good prices and they carry almost every major manufacturer, plus you can buy 3"x5" color swatches if you aren't sure what you want. The color/finish options are virtually endless. The new Vvivid+ series film is really good too.

I second metro, but if you really want low budget, dollar store vinyl, go with vvivid

I know i'll get flak for this... But I've used plasti-dip on several of my projects and never had an issue with looks or longevity. $6 a can, and If you don't like it, peel it off.

I used it on the forks of my motorcycle 4 years ago and it is still good as new. At that time I also did the speedometer, wheels, primary cover, and coil cover. All lasted until I had them powder coated last year. Forks are still plasti-dip today. Surprisingly resistant to rock chips. Since it worked so well on the bike, I just did my grill on the edge, and I'm biased, but I love it!

No flak here on the plastidip, my only recommendation is to peel it off and redo it once a year. Left mine on my focus wheels for 5 years and could not get the residual off.

ran into that on my wifes car. We re-applied 2 coats over the old stuff and then peeled and it came of fine after that
