Burgundy17
Can someone explain why the MKX recall over steering does not effect the Edge?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
MKX? The MKX is not involved, the MKZ is.
Burgundy17
My bad. I did not read closely. They are recalling Fusions and since our Edge shares a lot with the Fusion I thought it the recall would effect the upgraded Edge twin - the Lincoln MKX. Good to know our Edge does not share THAT problem with the Fusion.
Burgundy17
So the Fusion and the MKZ are not built as robustly as the Edge and MKX ? Good to know we have a sturdier vehicle.
akirby
Huh? It was ONE PART that was defective in the steering wheel. Edge and MKX obviously use a different part.
CTFordfan
Fusion and Edge are both the same CD4 platform. Some different suspension parts and other items as the vehicles have different weights and center of gravity.

Each averages 20 years experience in production and nearly all of which have aquire the union status of "craftsman".The Edge is built in a garage on 4th Street by a bunch of high school trade students who get paid $12.50 /hr. The Fusion and MKZ (that should probably read MKzzzzzzzzz) are built in a Goodwill parking lot, by recovering addicts who live in a half-way house and eat bologna sandwiches for breakfast. .
