BITOFNEDGE
What I'm asking in the title: is that even possible? If not, end of discussion. However, if possible, how involved would that job be? Is it a simple bolt on, and plug in the electrical components. Or is it much, much more involved than that? The Sport comes with the 2.7L V6 with EcoBoost. And based on some reading I just finished, the Taurus SHO can be equipped with a 3.5L V6 EcoBoost as can the F150 truck. Just wondering about my Edge?! akirby
End of discussion. Would be cheaper and easier to go trade it for a 2016 Sport.

Nick Halstead
Anything is possible with the right amount of funds. Granted 1st you would either have to rebuild your current 3.5 or source a 3.5TT. Your 2nd hurdle will be making all the plumbing fit. Pipes are already crimpled in the 2.7 due to lack of space. There are guys with project mustangs using the 3.5TT, they are $20grand into it and its still a rolling chassis

akirby
Edge has never had a 3.5L Ecoboost - the front clip probably can’t handle that much power. Just find a used Sport and tune it.
macbwt
The Edge was not designed to hold much more than the 3.5. Anything more and you are breaking out grinders and cut off saws. Then reconstructing a new modular frame and maybe even gutting the engine compartment of accessories. go with the Sport or soon to be released ST. Less money.
