hilliard528
Hello, First post, just bought 2017 Ford Edge Titanium and found the driver side wipe acts oddly and stutters, stops mid cycle, but turn wipers up to high a few cycles they seem to synch up. The passenger side seems fine. Oddly enough we saw the same performance on another 2017 Edge we test drove. Please help as this is very troublesome for me. Thanks! WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Might be a TSB or SSM out on it, check with the dealer. I believe similar issues have occurred with the Fusion as well.
khloe
I am having the same problem with my 2016 Edge. Driver's side wiper stutters, sometimes pauses in "upright position". This has just started recently at about 40,000 km. Took it to the dealer today and they told me nothing is wrong with the wipers. I'm so frustrated. The service guy did mention that the two wipers are on separate motors, so it makes sense to me that it could be a problem with the motor. Has any one else had a successful repair of this problem? I think i will need to diagnose it myself which is crazy when you have a vehicle on warranty. Good to know from the original post that turning up the speed helped. I can try that for now to keep going until I have the patience to go back to the dealer again. What is a TSB and SSM?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Technical Service Bulletin, and Special Service Message. Usually fixes to known problems, or notes about known problems not really being problems.
egnaro
Started to happen to me as well I tried to eliminate the issue by replacing the wiper blades - bought from the dealership. No luck, still stutters Not all the time tho, so couldn't prove that to the dealership.Seems like it's a known issue to almost all Ford vehicles. Does anyone know if any TSB about this issue ?
