HID headlights won't install correctly

Trying to change the bulbs to HID. Once installed the lights come on but then when the engine turns on, the lights go out. I heard there's and issue with reverse polarity. I bought an anti flicker capacitor/error corrector. Tried installing the bulbs again, and it didn't work. Has anyone installed HID bulbs successfully?

Can you set the headlights on MANUAL rather than AUTO? Does the problem still exist? The flicker/polarity issue you speak of is with LEDs, at least I think that is what you are referring to?

Might definitely need to put on relays and wire the headlights directly to battery power rather than thru the fusebox.

35W kit or 55W?

Hi

I changed to HID's a while ago now and had all kinds of issues and tried adding capacitors, nothing solved the problems.

Only a change to these; http://drivebright.com/home/product-category/hid-headlight-replacement-kit/

Call these guys and talk to them, they should be able to sort you out - it's all in the ballasts!
