GenEDGE
What are the license plate screw dimensions? 14 x 5/8 ? Wanted to put the 2 bottom fasteners in. Last car only had 2 holes. Feel like I can hear the license plate rattle over big bumps. Edited February 6, 2018 by GenEDGE
enigma-2
Standard stuff, I'd go with stainless steel. https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.com%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F371459309174
roots57
I always place a couple of rubber washers between the plate any the car that I put each screw thru, it keeps the plate away from the paint and prevents any vibration noises.
2FAST4U
I always place a couple of rubber washers between the plate any the car that I put each screw thru, it keeps the plate away from the paint and prevents any vibration noises. I do something similar… --> I put some plastic washers between the license plate and the screws to prevent corrosion from forming on the license plate ruining it. I like to keep my plates a long time and sometimes I see some other cars with badly corroded platers that eventually have to get replaced which I don't want to have to do. I'm not too worried about any contact between the plate and the car's body because the square nylon attachements into which the screws go also acts as a spacer preventing the plate from touching the car's body. Of course, I use stainless steel screws... Claude.
