toast1850
Does anyone know how to properly remove the instrument cluster on the 2011-14 Edge's? I'm trying to get access to the GPS antenna because I need to make a splice for the compass to work properly on my 8" screen conversion. A diagram or instructions would be awesome. I've looked online and have been able to find some diagrams but it doesn't show how to remove the parts. Any help is appreciated. Thanks
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
These are the basic instructions for a 2013 Edge, should be the same for your 2014 Removal and Installation All vehicles NOTE: It is critical that the correct Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) be installed when installing a new IPC . The IPC differs between Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) vehicles equipped with Intelligent Access (IA) and vehicles not equipped with IA . If the incorrect IPC is installed, the vehicle may exhibit a PATS no-start condition. NOTE: If installing a new non IA IPC , all vehicle keys are erased during the parameter reset procedure. Verify at least 2 of the vehicle keys are available prior to carrying out this procedure. If installing a new Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC), upload the module configuration to the scan tool. For additional information, refer to Section 418-01 .Edge Remove the instrument panel LH finish panel.Remove the floor console LH upper finish moulding.Remove the instrument panel RH finish panel. Place the steering column in the full down position. Remove the 2 two screws and remove the lower IPC finish panel. Unclip the gap hider from the upper steering column shroud. Remove the 2 screws and remove the IPC . Disconnect the electrical connector. MKX Remove the LH IPC top cover. For additional information, refer to Section 501-12 .Remove the 2 screws and remove the IPC . Disconnect the electrical connector. All vehicles To install, reverse the removal procedure. If a new IPC is installed, download the configuration from the scan tool into the new IPC . For additional information, refer to Section 418-01 . NOTE: If installing a new IPC on vehicles that are not equipped with IA , the IPC and the PCM require a parameter reset to allow the IPC and the PCM to recognize each other. Failure to carry out the parameter reset to the IPC and the PCM may result in a no start condition. If installing a new IPC on vehicles that are not equipped with IA , carry out the parameter reset procedure. For additional information, refer to Section 419-01B .
