toast1850
I wanted to know if Ford provided a pigtail kit for the Sync 2 USB media hub that sits in the center console on factory equipped Edges with MFT. My 2014 Edge has the base hub with the Auxiliary line in and USB port. I'm wanting to swap out the hub so I can spice in to use the sd card for navigation since I converted to the 8" screen. I have everything working except the replacement USB hub. I've done some searching online and found two pigtail kits but I'm not sure if they are compatible or correct. WPT-930 9U2Z-14S411-DA and WPT-1047 9U2Z-14S411-ZA Can someone please let me know if there is a pigtail kit to wire the hub? I attached a picture of the hub for reference. Thank you. candurin
Have a look here: http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=4050 Or, this may be another (albeit very pricey) option: https://www.4dtech.com/4-to-8-pnp-conversion-harness-for-sync-2-3/(it should work on the edge, no problem). You may even be able to buy just the harness from here: https://www.infotainment.com/collections/all/products/4-myford-to-8-myford-touch-custom-upgrade Edited January 16, 2018 by candurin
toast1850
Thanks for the reply candurin. I'm familiar with all of those sites and check often. I was hoping that Ford just made a pigtail kit. The connectors on the fusion are mostly different than on the Edge. Is there not a pigtail kit direct from Ford for that module? candurin
I know the sync 2 > sync 3 pigtail is CU2Z-14S411-AA (WPT-1239) but not sure that helps. Have you checked here: http://www.paulmachenry.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/11/Motorcraft-Pig-Tail-Catalog-2013.pdf
toast1850
Yes I found that document while searching. I knew the wpt-1239 is used for sync 3 hubs but I can't afford to go with sync 3 right now. I know the sync 2 hub is a 12 cavity pin, but its just narrowing down if there is a pigtail kit for it. There are so many 12 cavity pigtails in that PDF that I'm not sure which one is correct. I really hope someone has an answer. Thanks

toast1850
That would be great and if it has a part number on the wire. Thanks
candurin
I stared at my photo for awhile, it absolutely looks likes like this one: 9U2Z-14S411-DA And if you here, youll see that theres also a pin out for the same pigtail: http://www.2gfusions.net/showthread.php?tid=4050&pid=114421#pid114421 Its definitely NOT 9U2Z-14S411-ZA Edited January 16, 2018 by candurin

toast1850
Yep that's it. I found it on tascaparts.com. Am I correct to say I just wire it with the correct pins into my 54 pin APIM cable? Thanks
candurin
It would seem so. The fusion forum link I posted in this thread goes through the necessary steps. But yes, you just attach the wires from the APIM.
