PrinzII
In reading this, my take would be the following: Ā Take the 400 hp TT V6 from the Continental (Make it 450+ hp) and couple it with a beefier AWD system Install the 9 speed trans Bang and Olufsen is a good choice. Revel is better. B&W is even better. LED Headlights Full leather interior No rotary dial shifter Offer a Manual transmission option Upgrade the steering for more feel and sharper handling without compromising ride quality Ā See, I am not asking for much.....lol
akirby
This does leave room for an Edge RS if they wanted to do one - with the 3.0L EB, CCD and Torque Vectoring AWD.
akirby
BTW there is no 9 speed auto - it's 8 speed.
Burrcold
Honestly, I'm not loving it from a styling perspective. I think the current sport grille looks more upscale and aggressive (I also don't like that the new front just looks like a Focus ST jumbo sized). Also, I think they should have kept the "light bar" but updated it. It's definitely a distinctive feature of the Edge that is now lost. Personally I like horizontal exhaust outlets vs these new squared off vertical ones. The interior is basically the same (I figured they would go to the rotary dial selector). The ONE part of the exterior I do like more than the current model is the new hood, and obviously the fog/lower accent lights. The current triangular ones never "fit" in my eyes,
MaX83_ZA
I like it, if they didnt ruin the Sport, sorry I mean ST, with garbage suspension setup i.e. if the people that built the focus ST\RS came within a mile of setting this up, it will be horrible (in my humble opinion). Honestly, I would gladly give up all the new safety kit just for Magna Ride. My list of essentials is: 1. More Power 2. Better Gearbox 3. Better Sound System 4. Better Suspension and Damping (Magna Ride) 5. Adaptive Cruise Control

onyxbfly
Thank the high heavens they finally will give us a black headliner! I love the softer edges no pun intended. I'm not fond of the rotary shifter and the exhaust bezel.
sfbluenote
My first thoughts are what can I retrofit onto my '17 Sport? If the suspension is an improvement I would start there...The grill looks good too. But seeing as Bilstein are not offering anything for the Edge as of yet,an improvement in the set up would be interesting.
David Young
I like the looks of it in everyway. The rotary shift knob is well liked with people who have it on their F-150's. I bet this thing will cost a pretty penny

David Young
I read it on the F150 Forum I'm on. The person might have been talking about the rotary shift knob feels fine in his Fusion or maybe his Expedition. I can't find the 'post' I read this. I 'bet' it (rotary shift knob) will be coming to a lot of other Ford models in the next few years.
akirby
Probably the new Expedition.
