blownZ71
Has anyone upgraded to a 22" wheel with performance tires? Looking to replace the factory 20" Edge wheels with a 22" wheel and curious how much width I can add and what backspacing anyone else might have used. Trying to avoid the factory 21" wheels due to the limited tire selection. Right now I am thinking 22 x 9 with a 265/35/R22, hoping that will fit or even maybe something slightly larger on a suspension with H&R springs. Any insight from anyone on here? roots57
If you want to play it safe, get wheels with the same offset as the factory wheels. 265/35-22" tires have the same outside diameter and width as the factory 265/40-21" set up, so as long as you don't deviate too far from the factory offset, you won't have any clearance issues. I think you might even be able to get away with 275/35's but then you need to be more careful with offset. I did put some 22's on my '16 Titanium. :thumbsup:I kept the original 20"s and mounted winter tires on them.
