BigPooch
Ok, anyone know what this does? I downloaded the app, and everytime I get into the car the app opens up and displays stuff on the phone... What good is that? akirby
Pretty sure you have to activate AA from sync 3.
MaX83_ZA
You have to connect the phone to Sync 3 with a cable, then what you see on the phone will be displayed on Sync. For now it will only work if the phone is connected with a cable via a USB plug. AA will release an update later this year to enable the app via bluetooth connection only.
ben senise
You can run the Android Auto app on a phone without running it on Sync3. What that gives you is a simplified interface on your phone, similar to what you get on the screen of your car. it is ideally suited to a phone sitting in a mount on your dash. you can get the sound from navigation and music and phone calls through your car speakers by connecting bluetooth. BigPooch
I am hearing all this stuff about using android Auto without plugging it in. Is this possible? Plugging it in every time you get in the car is stupid, and makes this virtually useless.
