shumax
With the frigid temps, I started to think about the battery in our 2016 Sport. It looks like a royal PIA to replace - tucked up under the cowling, etc. What if you need tp jump start the car? It doesn't appear that cables are going to fit in there real well - thoughts? Also, I'm assuming removal means removing that cowling where the wipers are, correct? Anyone have any experience on this topic? Thanks, Shumax
akirby
Only the negative cable is hard to reach and there should be a remote stud for that right next to the battery on the shock tower. Follow the wiring. If you think the Edge is bad you should look at an Escape.
shumax
Thanks. Actually, the Escape is what started it all. A coworker of my wifes just shared her experience and it sounded ridiculous. Got me thinking about the Edge...
akirby
I’ve had batteries replaced in my Fusion and a 2012 Focus and neither one required removing anything to get the battery out. It is hard to reach the terminal bolt though.
