vega
I have a v6 2015 Edge SE. At the rear bottom, next to, and slightly above, the driver side exhaust tip, there's a female 12pin oval looking connector. Is this for trailer wiring? If so, what kind of a connector is needed for a trailer? Sorry if this isn't the correct forum but I could'nt pin it down to which it belonged to. Thanks
Mikula
pics would help. I've only seen 4 and 7 wire. the edge would most definitely not be a 7 wire, as our towing capacity isn't all that high. does it look like one of the connectors in this video? akirby
I think that's a connector for the pigtail that actually has the 4 pin or 7 pin connector. It comes with the factory towing package.

Just wish I had a male connector to attach with pigtails.
enigma-2
I can offer a guess, wonder if this connector is for the rear backup sensing system?
akirby
I still think it’s the factory tow system wiring. You add a pigtail that gives you a 4 or 7 pin connector like this one: https://www.etrailer.com/static/images/pics/4/0/40455_1000.jpg
