Shark fin antenna comes off. How should I fix it?

You'll need to replace it (part number should be GT4Z-18936-ACPTM).

You can see where you snapped the mounting stud/bracket off the antenna (it's still sticking out from your roof).

You'll need to drop the headliner to remove the old/broken bracket and then install the new antenna.

I suppose with enough epoxy and soldering you could repair it, but I would just replace it (potential leaks, etc).

Not sure if the painted cover can be salvaged, as the replacement wouldn't be color matched.

You can order paint matched antennas here: http://5hundred.net/index.php?/store/product/16-oem-shark-fin-antennas/

Remove both C-pillar upper trim panels.

Refer to WSM, Section 50-505.

Remove both rear grab handles.

Starting from the rear of the vehicle release the pushpins and magnets from the liftgate opening to the grab handle mounting location, to allow access to the antenna.

Replace the audio unit antenna.

Remove the retainer and audio unit antenna and harness through the roof opening. (Figure 1)

The new audio unit antenna must be painted to the vehicle color before installing.

Tighten the bolt to 7 Nm (62 lb-in.).

To install, reverse the removal procedure.

Does anyone know how to get the antenna mounting plate? The black flat aluminum piece between the glass in a 2018 the the whole assembly bolts through. One dealer said it comes with glass another said it only comes with a new roof frame. My antenna got pulled and distorted the aluminum plate.

how much longer is your lease? i'm thinking that i would probably just get some 3M body molding two-sided foam tape and stick that thing back on. maybe put some silicone or something to prevent water ingress. or possibly that gooey black glue for body panels. there are loads of incredible adhesives for autobody work and that would eliminate the need to deal with the headliner.

That may work if it weren't for this being a lease. If not perfect, either the dealer or leasing agent auditor will spot it and he'll get a bill for full cost to replace. (Lease contracts require you return the car in perfect condition, other than "normal" wear and tear. Damage of any part must be repaired).

Had a work associate who took his car back and dealer found a few dings he got billed for.

Then a few weeks later he got another bill from the leasing agent who found one wheel that had excessive road rash (dealer missed or ignored). Was hit with a bill for several hundred and he was livid. Refused to pay. Their lawyer finally sent a pay or else letter and he paid.

Dealer told him their inspection was done to find what they thought the lessor would find. (And of course it generates work for their body shop. Wink.)

But the lessor, who actually owns the car, has the last say. And the contract spells out the exact condition the car must be returned in. (Road rash on the wheel was considered as collision damage).

I'd start by taking it to the dealer and use their quote as a starting basis. Then stop by a couple of good quality body shops. (Their quote should come in around 80% of the dealer. If it's more, I'd go with the dealer).
