tmarsh
First post here, thanks for the add. I bought a 15 sport about two months ago and I love it. I came from a 2006 Fusion with a manual trans, compeltey made it my own. And am looking forward to doing the same with the Edge. But first things first theres a few things I'm curious about. I noticed that the rear speakers in the D-Pillar don't have any sound coming from them. I made sure they are plugged in behind the quarter panel, I was already back there taking care of rattles from the subwoofer with foam. Do these only turn on for surround sound with say a DVD? Ive tried playing music from FM, bluetooth, USB, and have the speaker setting on surround rather than stereo. But nothing from these speakers. Coming from a sedan that had speakers on the rear deck under the back window, the edge is missing the sound from behind so I want these speakers to function. I suppose I could wire them into the back door speakers at the amp.
akirby
Are you sure they're factory? I wasn't aware of any cargo area speakers other than the subwoofer.
tmarsh
Theyre definitely factory. Theyre molded into the D pillar and face forward towards the seats, and are wired into the factory looms. There is nothing aftermarket on this car its a clean slate. akirby
I see them on the parts diagram. They are listed as surround speakers so maybe it's not the right combination of settings and source material.
