candurin
I'd be glad to help you with the programming... As far as OBD devices: If money is no object, buy this OBD tool: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B006NZTZLQ If you want HS/MS and money is an issue: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01F0GVBWY I use this one. It gives me access to all the modules I need to access: https://www.amazon.c...duct/B005NLQAHS Edited: fixed links Edited October 21, 2017 by candurin
marksandbothe
Thanks. Ill look at those and see which one is best. I have a Mac and iPhone so it looks like that may be a complication.
candurin
I used a MacBook to do all the programming. You'll just need to be able to load into windows via parallels, VMWare or boot camp. iPhone won't be needed at all.
omar302
I use this one. candurin
It accesses all the modules that one would need to do any of the major programming changes. I need to fix my links, I think. But this is the one I am referring too: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B005NLQAHS Omar, it can NOT do MS-CAN, but I've never needed to work with those additional modules (FCIM, RTM, etc.) Here's a link to the different modules accessed via MS-CAN (credit to Dan in the fusion forum): http://s1057.photobucket.com/user/DanMc85/media/FORScan/FORScan%20Module%20List_zpsm56mtshz.png.html Edited October 21, 2017 by candurin

jmr061
How are we being misled? Inquiring minds want to know. I am assuming you are referring to my post about the map updates. Maps are not supplied by the same map company world wide. Different markets have different sources. This is the link for contacting customer service on that site: https://why-update-ford.azurewebsites.net/customer_care_en.html Notice no USA/Canada/Mexico or Europe etc. Looks like that is for smaller, "less popular" markets. marksandbothe
This may warrant a new topic but I just also noticed that Sirius Travel Link isn't available either. I called them and they said my vehicle was showing as not being compatible - probably because it didn't come with the factory nav - If I enable NAV in FORSCAN will this also force the install of Sirius Travel Link? I really wish I would have spent the extra time searching for a vehicle I wanted with NAV instead of going this route. It probably would have saved me a lot of hassle in the long run. For example, in the middle east, Ford advertises it on their website. Though, we know that navigation maps here are ALWAYS old!

marksandbothe
You'll have to make changes to the IPC module (block 720-02-01) settings in forscan to add navigation to the right hand cluster. I was able to install the software and familiarize myself with it. Reminds me of old school regedit! What value needs to be entered in this block? Do you not even have "compass" listed? marksandbothe
Done! I have Navigation AND Climate! Plus I learned how to make other mods as well. Very cool

I have a Mac and iPhone so it looks like that may be a complication.Iphone and Mac user here as well! I will be repacking my backup camera soon so I did some research about a couple weeks ago in this. Once I buy the camera I will also be buying this scanner: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B06XJL31Z7#Ask I will be using the FORScan app for iPhone in conjunction with the scanner above. http://itunes.com/apps/FORScanLite The scanner is actually a variation of one of the links posted previously but instead of Bluetooth, its Wifi. The iPhone app version of ForScan will not allow you to calibrate the camera. Only the PC version does. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Forscan for Windows, with extended license is what you need to make mods. I believe the first 3 months is free for the extended license, but I could be wrong. Sign up on the Forscan forum to get the license. omar302
License is free, but is valid for 2 months after which you need to renew it, again for free. Till when it will remain free is unknown.
