simonp
2017 Sport with 20" wheels ~9000km I am getting a clicking noise lately when making 90 degree right turns. I believe the noise is coming from the front of the car near the wheels. It only clicks a couple times and then stops. If i turn the wheel back to neutral, or slightly left, and then right again the click returns for a couple "clicks". Took it to the dealer and they said they couldn't hear it. I'm not buying though, this does not sound right... Any ideas out there? I recorded some audio of the sound.
WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Either something stuck in the brake dust shield, or it really is an axle/halfshaft issue. Would also inspect the hub/bearing assembly and strut mounts closely.
simonp
Thanks for the reply. I'll schedule an appointment with the tech for a ride-along and suggest the items above.
sdonaghey
I have this same noise on my 2016 MKX. Brought it in last week and the technician diagnosed it as a noisy upper strut mount. I had the same type of noise on my 2013 Flex before I traded it in for the MKX and it ended up that they replaced the steering rack. That finally fixed the noise.

wkucharzak
My 2016 sport is doing the same thing. What was the cause, did you ever get the issue resolved?
