Ravenlore
In looking for aftermarket upgrades for intake and exhaust, there is hardly anything available for the Edge Sport 2.7 Twin turbo yet the F-150 2.7 Twin turbo has an incredible amount of choices...Can anyone tell me why there is so little for the Edge Sport? Nick Halstead
Because the edge community that is into modding is really small.. the f150 is mostly driven by males and males like to tinker. Intake, all you can get is a drop in filter. I run the aFe dry flow. Exhaust, believe MRT makes an axel back but I would honestly just have a shop build my own.
akirby
The RWD F150 transmission and drivetrain is much beefier than the FWD based Edge version.
Xephiron
I see that COBB is tuning some Ford EB engines... but not the 2.7 yet. I had a COBB accessport/tune on my BMW 335i and it was amazing! I originally had a plug in chip or basically a boost tricker that plugs into the MAP and it was ok, but having a full tune is so much smoother and the gains are better. Plus you can specify actual tunes for which other mods you may have, like exhaust or intake. Granted, I doubt I mod this one anywhere near the level of the 335i, I still wouldn't mind about 50 or so more HP/TQ to the wheels. Some exhaust sound would be nice too... you can hear the engine has a nice sound, just needs straight pipes to let it out! Seriously, I think a K&N filter (or similar) with a nice axle-back for sound and a solid tune is really all I would need with this vehicle. Can't wait to take the journey. James.s.bishop
I talked to Cobb and they will not be supporting the Edge, period. Livernois and Unleashed are the two popular tune choices, but local dyno shops can do it too for about the same cost. Custom is probably the way to go on the exhaust.

Kinda surprised since the 2.7 is going into F-150 and Fusion I think, maybe more. I will check out Livernois (weird name lol) and Unleashed to see what they have. I saw a couple of MAP chips (resisters) were available, apparently they add like 4 psi of boost and hope the Ford ECU tunes for it. I have done that before, but I prefer full tunes. Xephiron
Hmm, looking through the forums trying to learn about this vehicle. So the exhaust system Y's into 1 muffler and then duals out? People are talking about welding new cat-back and axle-back exhausts on... I find it hard to believe this entire exhaust system, TBE, is 1 piece? That's horrible lol. My last car had primary cats in the downpipes, and 2ndary cats in the exhaust, followed by a resonator and a muffler on each side. I ended up running 3 inches TBE with no cats, true dual and straight through mufflers for maximum flow. There was a small H section for sounds purposes, the turbos themselves provide more than enough back-pressure!

NoDTMF
H i I am in the process of getting my 2017 tuned using HP Tuner and Unleashed Tuning. I have been documenting my experinces on the Facebook Sport Edge group, but I will start a new thread in the 2.7 engine section about my experiences and progress. At the of writing this note we are still in the tuning process.
