omar302
Found one more thing using the easy mode Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) configuration, it will change the Low Fuel warning message. It is called "DTE Level Configuration", there are two settings: Distance Based algorithm, this will show the distance to empty km/miles with the low fuel warning, and (still not confirmed by testing edit June 12: confirmed) will show fuel warning based on the distance to empty (in my older Ford/Lincoln it used to be at exactly 80 km to empty). Edit June 12: Low Fuel warning will now come at 80km, 60km, 40km, 20km then turns red at 0. or Fuel Level (Volume) Based algorithm, this will NOT show the distance to empty km/miles with the low fuel warning and the low fuel warning comes at random distances to empty, usually at very low km. This was the stock in my 2016 Edge. Edited June 12, 2021 by omar302 Confirmed the distances. 2
omar302
Enabled the Seatbelt monitor feature of the MKX Cluster. 720-02-02 xx** xxzz change ** to 84 or 85 or 86 or 87, they all worked. I didn't find any difference, but from what I think 84 is closest to the MKX value while 87 is closest to the Euro Edge. But, it only works for the front seats & rear outboard seats, meaning the rear middle seatbelt is not monitored. Also, my Edge has the inflatable rear seatbelts, so not sure if this would work on non-inflatable seatbelt equipped Edge/MKX. What this does, upon startup a small seatbelt grey icon with the number of fastened seatbelts appears. The same icon appears for 3-4 seconds whenever a monitored seatbelt is buckled and shows the current total number of buckled seatbelts. Whenever a rear outboard seatbelt is unbuckled a warning message appears. Also a menu for seatbelts appears under vehicle settings that shows the current status. omar302
I did not try this as my Edge does not have Auto Start/Stop, but for those wanting to disable Auto Start/Stop,an alternate way was posted on the F-150 Forums that does not involve disabling the BMS. May will also work on the Edge. 730-01-02 xxxx xxxx x*xx Start/Stop change * to: 0=disabled, 1=enabled This is the Post from the F-150 forums. omar302
Figured out 2 more mods on the MKX Cluster: Change the Brake light icon: 720-06-02 xxXx xxxx Changed X to 0 will show "BRAKE" as the light, 8 will make a brake icon. You can see the different brake light in the below images compared to the images in my previous posts above. Add "Drive Control" selector in vehicle settings. This will also remove the adaptive steering selection from the driver assist menu. Yes, the Edge does not have "Adaptive dampers", so this will only affect the "Adaptive Steering", but the benefit comes in the cluster showing "Sport mode" with red semi circles when "Sport" mode is selected. Also if Comfort mode was selected, blue semi circles will come up. 720-07-01 xxXx xxxx xxxx Changed X to 4 enables "Drive Control". "0" disables it. So far I did the following: Disable DRLs (for HIDs to work) Reverse mirror tilt Global window close (Open was enabled from factory) Disabled hyperflash (for my front LED turn signals) Disabled front lamp outage (for HIDs to work) Enabled secure idle (lock the shifter when fob is not in car while car is running) Disabled double horn honk Enabled heated SW and seats buttons on home screen on Sync Enabled climate section on right cluster screen Added fuel history display Added hill start assist (haven't tested it yet) Now here is my to do list that I am trying to figure out. If anyone has any ideas please let me know: - Disable stability control (AdvanceTrac) for some fun in the snow - Enable Auto hold (for the car to auto hold the brakes on a long traffic light) - Disable "Language Set To English" prompt on every start when I enable the View Text Msgs/Nav Keyboard while in motion If anyone wants the codes for the mods i've done, let me know. Could you let me know Reverse mirror tilt code please.

I assume you have a European Edge as from you screenshot it shows to be a diesel model. The default value is different (not 7) because you also have folding mirrors. So you have 720-02-01 as FBA4 AC78 1E08 and you'll need to change the A to E (A+4 = E). The line then becomes FBA4 EC78 1E08. When writing the value you will get a "checksum" error, just ignore it, then the last two digit (08) will change to the correct checksum value. Other mods I'm interested in - can Forscan do these: - Lower mirror(s) on reverse - DRLs on - Default initial audio volume - avoid blasting if volume was left high - Cyclops brake light flas on/off when braking - Interior footwell accent lights intensity Control - Allow sunroof to open without opening the sunshield the whole way back. - Turn on rear windshield wiper on reverse if fronts are on I'll be installing a hitch - anything that needs to be done so the vehicle know's it's towing? Sunnyorlando
Hello all... I'm familiar withe BCM changes using the VW group VagCom (Ross Tech) interface. Many options, some now I'd like to see if I can change similar option in my Edge. Are there Forscan settings for these: > Set default audio volume when ignition turned on (via ignition or audio sys on) > Always display gears on dash by the tach (or anywhere). Had this in VW, shows the transmission gears as they change, not just when using paddles. > Flash center brake light when braking - attention getter > Close windows with remote (already opens front). > Open/close all windows not just front. > Sunroof - open shade only half way (to the bar or so) and be able to open sunroof. > Control footwell accent light intensity >> Solved, use color picker squares to control intensity - slide up/down These to start, thanks.
