2013 Edge Tire Fit

Hello. New to the forum.

 

Had a question regarding wheel fitment.

 

Will 225/55/R17 on 17x7 Offset: 55 fit a 2013 Edge?

 

I am not worried about looks as this is a winter tire set. They are Subaru rims with the same bolt pattern.

Your speedometer would read more than 10% high (at a true 60mph your speedometer would show 66+ mph). Worse yet, your odometer would be out by the same amount so you would be adding more miles on the odometer than you actually travel. But the biggest issue may be that you wouldn't be able to mount the wheels without interference with the brakes. The '13 Edge never came with a 17" wheel option so it's quite possible (even likely) that the wheels won't fit over the calipers.

The wheel configuration can be configured in the BCM to adjust the speedometer using forscan.

 

As far as the tire physically fitting, that's another story.

Wheel-size.com reports the 2013 had a 235/65R17 option.

I guess you'll have to put them on and see if everything clears. I bought some used wheels for a car i had several years ago, the rear wheels worked but the front wheels locked up the front calipers. I couldn't use them
