myedge
Just wondering if anyone else has tried driving around 60 kph or faster with the rear windows down? The wind noise unbelievable. I want to put those window vents on to see if they make a difference. Has anyone else put the vents on and do you recommend them?
edgedout
I have the vent shades and they make little difference. There is still alot of noise if you have the back windows all the way down.
CreamEDGE.
No, that's common on newer cars, my solution? Roll up the windows and turn on the A/C, the air is cleaner.

Roll up the windows and turn on the A/C, the air is cleaner. at 60 mph + it's actually more economical for you to run the AC than to keep the windows down due to the drag. crazyrog17
And cnogalo said 60 mph - 16 months ago! Yeah, my Aunt's Edge makes a verrrrry irritating low frequency noise at about 40mph on up with the rear windows down. The sunroof is no better! That mesh is as loud as can be and when it's down, the same low frequency 'air shaking' occurs. I just wanted to revive this thread to see if anything more came up. Hi crazyrog. :D From the Edge Owners Manual: Rear Window Buffeting: When one or both of the rear windows are open, the vehicle may demonstrate a wind throb or buffeting noise. This noise can be alleviated by lowering a front window approximately two to three inches. This is a common problem on the more aerodynamics dependent cars being produced nowadays. Hope this helps. Good luck. :beerchug:
1nutsvt
I have also experience anoying rear seat belt flapping... I personally like to roll down the windows and smell the smog... LOL The best solution is to roll up all windows about 3-4 inches and that seams to do the trick.
Indagroove
Yep, That noise is from aerodynamics. You have to roll down one of the fronts to offset the buffering noise. All new cars seem to have this issue.
