siestafun
Just a question regarding delivery time. I ordered a fully loaded Edge(nava,18" alum., pana roof) on 12/23/06. This was in Illinois at one of larger Ford Dealerships. Any idea when I might expect delivery? I can get along without it for a while, end of Feb or beginning of March would be ok. jrez
That's probably a reasonable time frame...might not be until late March. I ordered mine (pretty much the same options you ordered) on 10/9 and received it on 1/18. I think the general rule of thumb is about 6 - 12 weeks. Former Ford ZM
Do you have a dealer name, body type and order number? Or even better, do you have a full 17 digit VIN? If you have a VIN then it's been serialized for production. If you don't have a VIN, then most likely the order hasn't been serialized yet and that means the soonest it can be produced is in February. nsap
I know someone that ordered an MKX 3-weeks ago Saturday, and it still hasn't been serialized! Is the plant behind or what? The general rule of thumb is 10 days for serialization. I assume the plant is over-run with orders...but I guess that is a good problem to have. leroyl
Lately I have seen gaps of 6/7 weeks from order to serialization, maybe someone can tell us how many shifts per week Oakville will schedule for the next month or so?? nsap
Lately I have seen gaps of 6/7 weeks from order to serialization, maybe someone can tell us how many shifts per week Oakville will schedule for the next month or so?? It's hard to tell the time frame on an order placed while the plant is running normally... Most of the orders that have been serialized already are ones that were placed prior to production starting or during all of the delays, so naturally they were long. nsap
Well, called the ERL (automated order status thingy)...Still says "Your vehicle is clean/unscheduled. It has not been serialized at this time." No wonder Ford lost $12.7 Billion in 2006.
capnkirk52
If you are that worked up about it, why not just go search other dealers lots?
