TurboToad
Picked up a 2017 Edge SEL AWD w/ 3.5L about a 6 weeks ago for my wife. We only had it one week before we left for Oregon for the Summer and there it sits lonely in the Sacramento garage for 3 more weeks. We had no issues with our 07 Highlander and gave it to a family member with only 46K on the clock. We love the Edge for the brief time we've owned it and look forward to familiarizing myself with all the electronics. We were adamant about finding one w/o the sunroof or Turbo and found one about 100 miles from home. I've wrenched on enough turbo cars for years to know that her low speed use on local surface streets and limited freeway miles would not be great for a turbo. We've been a Ford family for years with Super Duty, F150's, and currently 2011 E350 for towing the boat. I'm not sure on this forum how to post full size images from my hard drive big enough to see that aren't from a URL, must be a Premium member option. WWWPerfA_ZN0W
Welcome, nice lookin' ride, and good luck! Ya the turbo engines do like to stretch their legs and their Italian tuneups.
TurboToad
Just tap on the thumbnail and pinch and spread to enlarge. Yeah it's strange but after posting the thumbnail it would only open the size of a postage stamp; now it opens full size doing the same thing...go figure. Our only complaint was the dealer overlooked a bad buildup of dead rice beetles covering the cowl fresh air intakes. After driving it back to Sacramento my wife said there was a bad smell coming from the AC. Once parked it smelled like a festering tuna boat. I vacuumed out 90% and washed the rest. It was pretty gross and I can't believe I didn't see it when inspecting the vehicle. The dealer was quite embarrassed, sent me a new cabin filter, and all is fine now.
